RANDOM FACTS EXPRESS #5

HEY THERE WE ARE CONTINUING OUR FACTS TRAIN AND WELL TALK ABOUT OUR STORIES THAT WILL ALSO BE CONTINUED.
LETS GET STARTED:-
DISCLAIMER:- THE RESEARCH WHICH I'M MENTIONING ARE QUITE TRUE.
1. WHY DOES SMOKING MAKE US COUGH?

Our respiratory system consists of trachea bronchial tubes, etc. Which are covered with mucus and hair like projections called cilia.
When we breathe, mucus helps us trap harmful substances out like germs, dust etc.
Whereas cilia help us to expel these harmful substances; however, when we smoke, we inhale thousand of chemicals.
These chemicals damage or even paralyze cilia. Causing them to lose their ability to expel harmful substances.
So, these substances remain in our respiratory system. Hence, in order to remove these harmful substances, our body make us cough.

2. SHOULD EVERYONE WEAR MASK?

This is a huge question that everyone has in their mind, in this pandemic period everyone can forget their important things but no one will forget to take mask while going outside or somewhere, do everyone should wear masks?

WHO recommends masks to be worn by the following person:-
1. People who are either sick or showing symptoms
2. Also by those who are caring for the people suspected of having coronavirus.

As per WHO, medical masks should be reserved for health care workers.
Now as per EUROPEAN CENTRE FOR DISEASE PREVENTION AND CONTROL. If non -surgical face masks are worn by public then they might help control infection by those people who are infected with coronavirus who don't show any symptoms yet. This will prove to be useful in busy and closed spaces like shopping malls, grocery stores etc.

3.WHY IT IS HARD TO CURE COMMON COLD?

Firstly; there are more than 200 viruses which causes common cold.
Now, developing 200 vaccines for 200 is impractical
Thirdly, we can't make antiviruls to kill viruses just like we make antibodies to kill bacteria. This is because antibiotics attacks bacteria protective cell walls, but as virus don't have any cell wall, antiviruls will be useless.
This proves that why it's very difficult to make vaccine of a virus rather than a bacteria.
However, there might be some good news. Now, a virus survives in a human body by hijacking a protein found in human cells.
Researches have developed a compound which inhabits the virus from doing so. But as the compound targets human cells, more researches is needed to test it's safety.

So this was my 3 day hard work. Hope you guys would learn something.
If this blogs complete it's 50 views then the next article will be based on a vaccine which is gonna protect this world from corona. I need your support to do this.
